Cleaning Verification Made Easy with KaiNect

You set cleaning standards for your entire operation. But are they being followed? Employees might respect the company’s standard operating procedures. Or they might do their own thing while your SOPs sit on a shelf collecting dust.
Meanwhile your customers get an inconsistent experience from location to location. Even the same location can look different day to day, depending on who did the cleaning – and how they did it.
There is a way to protect your brand without having to drop in on dozens, hundreds, or thousands of locations. The KaiNect™ app from Kaivac gives you visibility into your entire cleaning operation right in the palm of your hand. Here’s how the KaiNect app helps you manage your teams, troubleshoot small issues, prevent big problems, and verify cleaning companywide.
Insight on Equipment Use
You invested in Kaivac machines, because they deliver exceptionally clean interiors. But only if workers actually take them out of the closet and use them. The KaiNect app verifies that employees are following your SOP and cleaning with Kaivac.
Using Internet of Things technology, the KaiNect app comes with a smart hour meter that tracks real-time usage on one machine or an entire fleet. The smart hour meter alerts managers if employees are underusing their Kaivac tools.
However, KaiNect will not overwhelm managers with unnecessary, unhelpful data. Instead, the app sends a yellow alert if a machine has not been used in three days. A red alert is sent if the machine is unused for two weeks.
These simple, easy-to-digest alerts let managers verify cleaning throughout the operation.
Tactical Troubleshooting
Managers can address alerts with appropriate actions. A yellow alert, meaning the machine has not been used in three days, can be handled with a light check in. Maybe the employee needs more training. If so, a full, ever-evolving library of training videos are available on the KaiNect app. With it, the employee can reinforce their training, bolster their confidence, and deliver consistently clean interiors.
A red alert, sent if the Kaivac tool has not been used for two weeks, most likely requires deeper interventions. Managers could have a different conversation with the worker about company-wide cleaning standards, the importance of following SOPs, and expectations around their position. Red alerts may also signal the need to reorganize teams.
“The KaiNect app allows managers to get as close to the work as possible at scale,” says Allen Randolph, Kaivac Vice President of Business Development. “The goal is to use the equipment you bought. And if more training or troubleshooting is needed, the KaiNect app is right there.”
