Kaivac Battery Recycling Program
Kaivac is pleased to offer a safe and responsible battery recycling program to customers whose batteries have reached their end of life (EOL). The convenient kit provided by our partner, Call2Recycle, includes all packing materials to safely collect and ship your Kaivac batteries for recycling.
Call2Recycle is the country’s largest consumer battery stewardship and recycling program. They were founded in the mid-1990s as a voluntary, industry-run initiative to keep heavy metals from rechargeable batteries out of the solid waste stream.
How to Recycle your Kaivac Batteries:
- Click the “RECYCLE NOW” button below.
- Add number of boxes in cart (only 2 batteries per box allowed).
- Click “View Cart.”
- Enter “KAIVAC” (all caps) into the coupon code field and click “Apply coupon” which applies a discount. Then, click “Proceed to Checkout.”
- Fill out checkout information or sign in with your credentials. Then, place order.
- Your recycling box should arrive within 5-7 business days with your contact information on the box. Shipping label is already applied on the box and addressed to the nearest recycling center.
- After receiving your box, remove packaging materials. Then, remove the battery from your Kaivac machine and follow instructions provided.*
- Finally, arrange a pickup with UPS or take box to nearest UPS location.
- Once received, Call2Recycle will send recycle certificate to your e-mail address in 4-6 weeks.
*If you have a battery with severe damage to the housing or any exposed wires, please contact Call2Recycle at 877-723-1297 before shipping your battery.
