AutoVac Stretch and UniVac Earn Green Seal Innovation Certification

by | Apr 26, 2021

The Kaivac UniVac® and AutoVac Stretch™ cleaning systems have earned Green Seal’s Certification of Environmental Innovation. Green Seal awarded certification based on reduced environmental toxicity, waste minimization, use of verified environmentally-preferable products, and conservation of energy and water. That is to say, these hard floor care machines met a rigorous standard for transformative product innovation to earn this four-year certification.

Sustainability with the UniVac and AutoVac Stretch

With a high-flow fluid extraction method, the UniVac and AutoVac Stretch use at least 65% percent less water and cleaning solution than competitors. The unique recycling function of the AutoVac Stretch filters and reuses cleaning solution up to seven times. This feature conserves water and reduces pollution, above all, without compromising cleaning performance. For instance, the AutoVac Stretch cleans up to 3,500 square feet per gallon of water. Comparatively, floor scrubbers and autoscrubbers clean roughly 500 square feet per gallon.

Modern environmental challenges demand modern solutions, including commercial cleaning equipment that is better for the planet while delivering the highest performance in cleaning and user ergonomics. That’s why Green Seal’s Environmental Innovation Standard measures improved health and environmental outcomes, not just material inputs. Kaivac has raised the bar for what buyers should expect about the sustainability of high-performance cleaning equipment in the marketplace.

The UniVac and AutoVac Stretch help minimize waste, protect human health, and ensure clean water.

It is extremely gratifying to receive Green Seal certification for the UniVac and AutoVac Stretch. We are taking this recognition as an opportunity to honor years of effort from our team in innovating and testing different approaches. So much went on behind the scenes to create these two systems that are lean, green, and mean on soils and bacteria.
