Kaivac develops science-based hygienic cleaning systems that protect the health of building occupants while raising the value of cleaning operations.
All of our cleaning technologies are designed from the start to remove the maximum amount of potentially harmful soils and bio-pollution in the most cost-efficient manner possible. Just as important, Kaivac incorporates scientific measurement into its systems to ensure hygienic outcomes for total facility wellness. Because, when it comes to potentially harmful microbial contamination, it's important that you remove it, then prove it.
Kaivac will be the World Leader in creating complete cleaning systems that produce healthy results (outcomes).
Starting with the restroom,
Kaivac will innovate, market, and train
Scientifically proven cleaning systems that;
Kaivac, Inc. was founded in 1997 out of a need to solve the number one building maintenance complaint - dirty restrooms.
As long as there have been toilets, janitors have been on their hands and knees swabbing and wiping them clean (or almost clean). No wonder the worker morale has been so low and the turnover rate so high! Bob Robinson, Sr., founder and President of Kaivac, Inc., set out to develop a more dignified yet more productive method of cleaning restrooms.
By combining pressure washing, chemical injection, wet vacuuming, and other tools on a single platform, Robinson revolutionized restroom cleaning. This combination resulted in the first No Touch Cleaning system, the KaiVac. This system is easier, faster, and deep cleans soils better than any other method.
This invention not only works wonders on restrooms but has been enhanced to tackle just about every surface and space throughout a building - from floors, walls, classrooms and restrooms, to stairwells, kitchens, hallways and more. Consequently, many customers now use them in place of auto scrubbers, carpet extractors, dry and wet vacuums, grout machines, mops, buckets, and more.
At a time when most manufacturers are developing inventories of specialized machines and chemicals, Kaivac's approach is to deliver fewer machines and chemicals that are truly multipurpose. The results? Drastically reduced costs, simplified cleaning procedures and management, and greater productivity. In this way, Kaivac is helping organizations achieve cleaner, healthier buildings within their existing budgets
Driven by a passion to deliver innovation to the Jan/San industry, we continually search for new ways of solving old problems. This has resulted in a number of breakthrough products that we believe will change the face of the industry.
Our engineering efforts begin with the worker. We literally put ourselves in his shoes. We continually ask, "What can make his job easier? What can help him be more productive? What will raise the dignity of the worker?" In other words, what will make him successful? If he is successful then everybody wins.
People are constantly asking where the name Kaivac came from. Here's the real story. Bob Robinson Sr. wanted to name the machine with words that describe wind, water, and power (tornado, hurricane, tsunami, etc.). After investigation of many of these type names at the Trademark Office he found that they were already taken by other equipment manufacturers and decided to create a new name. He gave the project to his two sons, Steve and Bob Jr., with instructions that the name roll off the tongue easy and be different.
They came back to him with the name "Kai." Both sons were members of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity during college years, and this was a secret word in one of their fraternal oaths. Bob Sr. wanted to know the meaning of the word, but his sons insisted that it was a secret that they could not reveal. After long thought, Bob Sr. decided he liked the word after all and attached his own meaning to it.
It officially stands for:
Keep At It
Keep Always Improving
Keep Attempting the Impossible
Kaivac, Inc. has multiple patents and patents pending on its No-Touch Cleaning equipment and methods.
